So I've torn apart the head on my cb350f. Found the rings to be at a gap of almost 50 thousand of an inch. Which according to the clymer manual is far out of spec. .0029 should be where it's at. Now is that a realistic number too? Seems large. The large 4 cylinder machines have a much smaller number.
Now I'm going to install a big bore kit. Any experience here for cylinder wall to piston skirt clearance? Or piston ring end gap clearance of that? Any numbers would be great?
Guess I should also add. Am I going to destroy all reliability to this engine by bringing it up to a near 400 cc on stock sleeves.
Thanks!
