Going for gold on #3 build
« on: July 11, 2016, 07:24:00 AM »
Hey all I'm Rob. Picking up a 72 750 four k2 this weekend, for about 250. She's pretty roached so this will be my bobber donor. She will be my 3rd vintage Honda build. The 1st was restore on a 82 450a Hondamatic, (got that one for free). Lotta bloody knuckles on that one. Did a pretty good job, IMHO. PO liked what I did and bought it back. (1st for me) 2nd was an 84 VT700c that I customized in to a quasi-stealth cruiser. Picked her up for 350, sold due to PCS. I am a car guy by nature, but been riding sine the 90'same and love playing about with metric bikes. I'll be starting a thread soon on this 72 k2 bobber project as soon as I can. All input is greatly appreciated.

Welcome Lrider. Hard to tell by the one pic but looks like you'll have your hands fulls with that one. A lot of members here though have brought bikes back to life. Good Luck and more pics when you can.

Yeah she's a beast of a job. Been rusting, I mean developing metric patina since late 70'summer according to PO. I'll be starting a thread as soon as I get her in the garage on Saturday.
