Will a regular 48mm circlip work with forks?
« on: July 08, 2016, 07:36:22 AM »
Re-doing my forks, and on all parts fiche's the circlip for the forks (48mm) is either 3 bucks a piece with cmsnl.com (with like $26 shipping, no way!), or other places are out of it (partzilla and others). However... on amazon, ebay, etc... that have regular ol' 48mm circlips readily available for a couple bucks for like 10 of them.

Can I just use one of these circlips? A circlip is a circlip right? So long as it is 48mm in OD?

Thanks!

Yup. It's not a hugely complicated part.

Watch out for how thick they are.  I tried to replace mine and what i could find were too thick.
