Alright, hondaman's recommendations for zddp zinc additive have been duly noted.

Review the facts, zddp bonds to engine internals and forms a reparative/wearable surface coating, reducing noise and extending engine life.  This is gospel as written by Hondaman.

Great for tappet rocker engines.

So, here's my follow up question, since I've got a couple oil changes to do in the not too distant future.

Bloo will be getting a service.

But what about my bombardier DS650?

The rotax motor is a liquid cooled, 4valve shim-equipped topend, with a wet bath stator, and an external oil tank (akin to cb750's)

Can zddp be used in a motor like that without creating issues?  Primary concern, rocker shims, secondary concern, oil-bath stator.

Yay:nay?

 The additive was only recently removed from engine oil. I'd say use as directed and it should be fine.

Biggest concern is; will it build up on the shims and put the valves out of spec?
