Cb650 pistons and rings
« on: July 12, 2016, 08:50:57 PM »
I am trying to rebuild my 1980 CB650 custom and was wondering where would be the best place to find a rebuild/big bore kit for my motor. I took it to a machine shop in town and the guy working on it isn't seeming to have any luck finding parts. (He said he wouldn't tear into it until he does) Mainly because it's not a 750... Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Dynoman kits are the best, but they cost quite a bit.

This guy:

Is currently on vacation, but when he gets back, he sells a simple 1mm overbore kit for like $119.  A lot of people are running his pistons in 500s, 550s and 750s without issue.

If your not in a hurry or on a budget, you might check back to his store later.
