CB750k3 carb sync possible?
« on: July 31, 2016, 05:05:52 PM »
I'm about to fire her up and have been thinking about tuning. A have a 4 line vacuum carb sync tool, but I'm not sure if I can use it. Where would I hook the vacuum lines up?

Its all in the honda shop manual, clymer book, or haynes manual.
the honda sjop manual you can download for free from this site.
follow the 3000mi maintenance procedure.  Vacuum sync comes LAST....

little vacuum ports on the outside of the carbs on the side closest to the engine.  little brass bolts with aluminum crush washers.  Looks like a tiny drain screw.   You will need some adapters if your gauges don't have them.
I have some brass tubing I got at the hardware store that I threaded the same as the screws/bolts.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

The bike will run if the carbs are a little off if you did a good bench synch. Maybe just not idle as smooth. If you are just starting it up for the first time I would proceed with that and do the synch later. See if you have any other issues first. Also if the engine has been rebuilt I would want to break it in first before I let it sit idling to long and getting hot etc. Read up as much as you can first before you dig into that.
