OH Man, that looks awesome!!!  I have a butt load of VHT high temp ceramic paint and duplicolor at the house but with the bike I'm building I would rather spend a bit more and not have to worry about chipping/flaking cheaper paint.

The issue I'm wondering about is the head and cylinders have already been cleaned up on the gasket surfaces, the cylinder is all bored/honed for the Wiseco's..

Cal, On yours did you get it powdered before doing the bore / hone ?

The head and jugs on all my wire cooled bikes is a professionally applied Thermal Dispersion coating. Same guy who does my powder, ceramic, DFL coatings; Andy Vaughan of Thermal Tech in Hopewell, VA. Awesome guy, great service, reasonable pricing. He does NOT do Vapor Blasting. Besides, next to Nils, everyone else is 3rd best

Thanks for the info, I had not heard about that treatment, I'll ask around in LA!  Do you think that finish would suit itself for the fins to be block sanded or do you think it should be left alone?

Sanding the fins afterwards won't effect the finish or effectiveness.

I'll check to make sure this uploads correctly, then post more..... This is what of the coolest things i've ever seen....These parts were not destroyed but were not in nice shape either. Nil's is the freakin man!!! Been super helpful throughout the entire process (and patient) haha. Took me a while to get these out to him but let me say, I am 120% glad that I did and I haven't even seen them in person yet.

Cases, oil pan, covers.... The carbs look amazing and i sent along the full linkage and choke linkage too so everything will have that nice finish....

He has a set of beautiful Koni 7610 - Aluminum bodied shocks that are getting done up while they're out there too...They;re going to look so f'ing sweet after this..... I'll keep you fellas posted on the build / info. Thanks again for all the help and support along the way.....This forum is still the BEST!

You Bet Mike!!! This stuff has all been a long time coming. Once I get the parts back from NIls, Im going to toss the lower case into the engine stand and give all these awesome parts a nice cozy introduction to eachother in those clean engine cases.....

Will read through my manuals/hondaman's book to make sure i don't miss any steps but i'll start by putting that pesky Kickstarter mechanism back in.....

This motor should be amazing with all the new tensioners, HD Chains, clutch, balanced crank, rods, and topped off with that sweet Stage 2+ head and Webcam 63A .,... This baby is really going to sing!!!

I just saw that Carpy is getting into vapor blasting. Although more local, I'd still send out to Nils given his track record of performance and customer service.

Nils has been the best Since I first contacted him about this project. He's always been helpful even creating and sending me a video about the "dykes" and removing my kickstarter pin....ha-ha.

Always quick to reply and encouraging, and the guys work is just absolutely flawless. I will recommend anyone to go to him, I can't wait to see those Koni's when they're done....with the aluminum bodies all vapor blasted and the black springs.... going to be sick.

I've never dealt with Carpy on anything., seems like he knows his stuff but alot of his stuff is just not my style.

Alright so I do have a serious question for all you fellas...  For those of you who have taken a motor down this far, Did you replace any of the bearings on the main shaft/counter shaft? Or did you just inspect them, clean them a little bit and slap them back in?

Basically, i had a tough time getting to one of the counter shaft bearings (in the middle of the case), I didn't want to damage anything so Nils removed it with a bearing puller. He recommended getting a new one, which got me thinking...Should I be replacing those ? That's the only part of the engine that i haven't really thought about....

All the other parts that are going back in have been inspected and are perfect, And are these things still available?
Probably pretty expensive if so. But let me know for those of you that have done this.... THanks

I don't know about the 750's but they were not expensive and I did buy new ones for my 550. 

The stock ones seemed fine, but for the $20 or so I figured what the hell.

I reused mine as they seemed in perfect condition as far as I could tell. As stated its cheap enough insurance to replace them, but I personally did not have a need to.

Im debating this myself on a race motor I am doing. I am taking the slow burn on getting it done so I will probably do them, but I wans't originally planning on it. The full set for the 750 is almost $250 from CMSNL. One bearing is like $65 so its hard for me to swallow but in the grand scheme you probably won't even notice the money is gone.

Generally speaking for bearings, I have gathered that if they don't "click" when you spin them and they don't have excessive side play, you are good. Flush them out good and give this a spin in a quiet area and listen, if it sounds good, it probably is.

I reused mine, too.  With a 650 motor they are less readily available.
