« on: November 22, 2006, 12:00:51 PM »
I'm looking for an extended upper brake line for my 78 cb550k so i can put on high bars. can't find them on ebay, and don't know where else to look. i don't want to spend much money.

Try Parts Unlimited or Dennis Kirk for extended line kits. Otherwise you'll have to find a bike on which the standard application is the length you are looking for, then search eBay. Bear in mind, though, that if you go this route the fittings may not be compatible with your Honda.

Take a look at HELUSA, they did a nice job for me and the price was right.

Or try Cycle Exchange - they have a range of cables for custom bars:

You want a new (old stock) 10" over stock rubber one? $10 plus the airmail shipping (guess at $7)
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).
