CB750A rims on a CB550f?
« on: July 17, 2016, 06:06:02 AM »
Getting ready to do a build on a 75 CB550F and the original rims are pitted beyond cleaning. I can get a set of CB750A alloy spoked rims really reasonable. I know they are 40 spoke, but does anyone see a problem with this. I can lace them if the hubs are different and would want to pull them apart for a thorough cleaning anyway. I really can't see a problem, but was just wondering if anyone else has experience with this? Thanks

They should work fine. But keep on mind the 750A uses a 17" rear wheel, not the 18" that came on your 550.
