Newbie Introduction
« on: November 22, 2006, 09:55:47 PM »
Hello to everyone here at SOCH4.  I'd like to say it feels good to be here, like finally coming home.  My journey started August of 1972 at our local Honda dealership lusting after a CB750.  I was told that I was to young for a test drive(17 yrs. old).  Sadly I left and went the Kawasaki shop and came home with 750 H2 MachIV!!!  In March of this year I was able to purchase an unmolested 1972 CB750 K2 from the original owner.  She has 13K on the odometer and is Brier Brown Metallic.  Our garage currently has a few motorcycles from the past with a couple newer ones included.  Starting with a 1969 Kawasaki 175 Bushwacker, 1971 CL450 K4, 1972 CB350 K4, 1972 CB750 K2,1972 Kawasaki Mach IV 750, 1975 CB200T0, 1976 Yamaha XS650D, 1978 Kawasaki KZ650 B2 and SRD1, 1984 VT500FT Ascot, 1986 VFR750F Interceptor, 2000 Kawasaki W650, 2004 BMW R1150R, 2004 CRF250X and soon a 1971 DT-1E.  Thanks for listening...... Greg

Welcome, Mr. Lee.  By the looks of things, a bike does not escape your grasp once it's in it, does it?  ;)  And things don't work out so bad; I bet your "new" CB750 has fewer miles than your old Kawi does.

Good Morning, I signed on very late last night, so I will attempt to answer the questions.  My H2 is a second one to enter my life, I purchased it December 06,2005 with 4K on the odometer.  I did like most seventeen year olds do, I can build this better and faster!  Never was quite the same after that attempt.  Since that time in my life I have since left everyone of my motorcycles bone stock, stickers and all. Toycollector like you I didn't either, but after highschool graduation I went to Canada on my H2.  As they say" When we were stupid",  would I do it again?  I'll get back to you on that one.  I would attemp it on the K2 with the right friends(very mechanical).  My garage is nothing more than your average 20 x20 home unit.  Lucky for me my wife also rides and both of her cars gave up the space for our bikes.(they're outside) :(

Just got off of work,HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!  A W650 for that price with so few miles is steal IMO.  It is one of our favorite bikes in the garage, we argue who rides it this time :D  You won't be disappointed, Kawasaki got the feeling right.
