if the swingarm from a 76 550k is the same as the 76 550F. I know the 750's are different,because of the disk brake but the 550 has a drum.

They are different. The F model has "closed end" axle flanges, whereas the K model has "open end" flanges with separate inserts the chain adjusters bear against.

Believe it or not a F swing arm fits on a K frame. Leastwise on the 750's.

Chainguard mounts are also different from 550K to F. The F had a nice chrome chainguard, while the K has a black plastic one, and the mounts are not in the same place on the swingarm.
