Repro parts recommendations,
« on: July 21, 2016, 03:33:34 PM »
DSS, Yamiya, Z1 or anyone else? I'll need headlight ears, headlight bucket, and a smooth airbox. Any favorites?
I have sidecovers and a tank and am planning a paint job

Of those 3 I've only used Yamiya. I noticed the shipping has climbed a bit from 6 months ago but you seem to get the stuff pretty quick. DSS has lots of stuff and they now have stateside whse. Z1 has less stuff....they are more about Kawi's. I've heard good things about either place and Jeff at Z1 is a member here.

Thanks, I guess not a lot of us have bought from multiple suppliers, I've picked up a few parts from each and everything was pretty nice.

A few years back.....Old Bike Barn was one to avoid. There are others.....look for good/bad vendors here somewhere. Happy shopping Don! Oh and if you do use Yamiya read the description carefully. They sell genuine Honda but some of there stuff is aftermarket and make sure you hit the US currency button at the top.

Check 4into1.com. I've had good luck with them and I think others have too. And JT Marks is a good eBay seller. I think he's a member here.

+1 on JT Marks.  Once I learned my painful lessons on CB750 online knock-off parts, I have head a steady stream of OEM parts from him. Fast delivery, always knows to suggest/includes little bits you may not thought of to ask for (e.g. including the sealing washers on a petcock, getting the upgraded wheel bearings that Hondaman recommends), really knows his stuff, highly recommend him!

+3 on JT Marks.   I also like 4 into 1.  Both have very prompt shipping and great communication as well.

JT is good but VERY proud. It was MY decision to buy that NOS -341 speedo at $425 though.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

That guy blocked me when I asked for a refund on the fuel line he sold me.

I've bought from JT also, I planned to shoot him an Email at some point.  This is the hot rod K0, it's got the wrong motor so I don't need genuine Honda NOS. That said, I'm always on the lookout for that engine case that's close enough to be correct.

+6 for jtmarks - I too have had good experiences buying from him, not cheap, but when he made a mistake, he swiftly sent the correct part without expecting me to send the wrong one back or pay any money.
One time I was mildly annoyed that I didn't realise I was buying a superseded NOS part that was slightly different to the original, but I put that down to my lack of research and/or communication with Joseph.

Yamiya has complete painted kits with tank, sidecovers, headlight bucket, filter box with everything inside and brackets for K0.  Cost some but very convenient. Paint job is really good too
