Wisconsin / barn find
« on: July 07, 2016, 06:23:10 PM »
Hi guys. My name is Mike and although I've been around bikes my whole life I've never owned or driven a Honda CB.....but always wanted one. Well, as fate would have it I found one by accident. It's a 1978 CB750 Super Sport and it's been sitting for 20 years.

I looked at it tonight and snapped some photos. I need to figure out how to upload them. The bike itself is very original and besides a big fairing it's pretty original. There's no dents and she's pretty clean.

Welcome!  How many miles on it?

Reason I ask that particular model has the tendency to eat valve guides at around 30,000 miles.  The cure is a complete head job with new guides and valves -  dont ask me how I know  :)

I am happy with the output, but it took quite a bit of money and time to get the engine of Red where it is now.

Thanks guys. It has 14,000 miles. There's a title issue going on so things are developing. If for some reason it doesn't work out I'll still.be buying one regardless because after researching the CB series......well, I'm hooked, let's put it that way. Haha.

Greetings. We always need a good F'n.

Lots of us use a free Photobucket.com acct. Upload to PB then copy and paste the "IMG" code. That simple. No resizing necessary either.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
