How much? Might need to start considering one for the road racer. Could you cut the end of the crank off for the charging system?

The 750's are $1395.00. The CB400F is more because the rods are custom order.  We can cut the end off.

It improved my CB750 more than I thought, APE stamped crank with Carillo rods. Very stable idle and quick throttle response. The CB750 SOHC should have had it from the very beginning. I see it as a corrective action.

I use a new cam (DP315) that surprised me to have such low and stable idle. I'm sure that the APE crank had a lot to do with it.

I'll bet you could pound a piston to bits without breaking that rod! I could see that rod cutting a circular swath through the lower case, clutch basket, cylinder block, and the cylinders if it ever parted ways with its piston...

 My current engine has a stroke of 69mm and a current red line of 12000 RPM and this translates to a piston speed of 27.6m/sec (piston assembly weight of 185g).  In order to handle this and have further RPM capability the design brief was for Titanium Rod that was stronger than a steel Carrillo and rated to 13000 RPM (30m/sec).

 This picture shows both a Carrillo and my Titanium rod side by side for comparison purposes.   (The Carrillo is the smaller)

 You won't break one of these!!!!

Crower will make them. They have the specs for 750 rods. I have always felt a Carrillo "A" beam rod would be a great piece for the CB750. It is lighter than the "H" beam (which is fairly light) and plenty strong enough. I run the A beam in my FJ
