I'm new to owning a Hondamatic. I have a 1977 model hondamatic. No mods, in excellent condition. Still has points. What I want to know is what brand of Electronic Ignition Kit would be best for my cb750a hondamatic. It's a stock engine.
I've been considering one of the Pamco, Dynatec or the Hondaman ignition systems. My goal is increase it's MPG as high as possible with an E.I. alone.
I'm seeing good and bad from it all.

Unfortunately the subject of electronic ignitions is kinda like discussing religion.
Everyone has their personal favorite and they're just sure everyone else is wrong.  :P ::)

I have a Dyna S on my K5 that has been working fine for the last five years. I got it used at a good price.
And I have a Pamco on my CJ360T that is also working fine.
All I need now is a Hondaman box for my K3 to complete the trifecta!  ;)

I would think that in relation to fuel economy you'd have to go with something programmable like the Cycle X or Dyna 2000 unit.

Although I don't think they really have fuel economy in mind.

And I used the Hondaman box on my CB550 for years.  I loved it!

Now I have a 650 engine in there and it never came with points, so I can't use the Hondaman box anymore  :'(

Is there any peer reviews for electronic ignition replacements for the cb750's four?

not really. i was in the same boat awhile back.. what ever you get will be better than what you got. I got a deal on dyna s and 5ohm coils so went that way..pamco or hondaman both get good feedback.
