Gauge face screws..
« on: November 24, 2006, 11:12:58 pm »
Anyone know what thread the two tiny screws are that hold the gauge face on?
(CB750k)
Thinking of replacing them with a diff style or even brass.

Thanks..

Best-o-luck mate, they're metric fine, so I don't like your chances...............  ???
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I found the size online.

M2.5 x 6

you can get them in flat head, phillips, or allen head. They start at $0.08 us each.

I just have to figure out more hardware to purchase, they want $7 to ship!!!

I had the same thought because I notice the OEM screws had lockers on the bottom of the screw head and the new ones don't.

Thanks..

Here's a crazy good industrial supply company that sells everything from stainless hardware to sheets of polymers. They have full diagrams of the hardware, all sorts of stats. . .VERY over the top in supplying just about anything for project geeks like me  :)

I found out about them when I worked as a lab technician at a foundry, many moons ago. I used to have to place the supply orders for the lab.
