That I put in an application to show my 1969 K0 at a bike show. The organisers returned my deposit saying they didn't have a category for me. Sorry. Well me and my friend Jeff rode down to the show today. About 80 bikes on show. Eighty percent H.D, one Ducati, two Hurricanes, a Rocket, a couple of other BSA's and Nortons. Trikes and half a dozen Boss Hoggs. Do you have them in the U.S.A?

Not one Japanese classic in sight!

The upshot was that Jeff voted for my bike in the "Peoples Choice" category.  He commented that the CB750 was out in the bike park. Ha Ha. That might send them a message but I don't think so and don't really care.

You've gotta laugh.

That's ridiculous.  Talk about ignoring history and forgetting about the super bike roots.  Anyway, you got the appreciation I think we all appreciate...  We're the only one there with an old cb!  By the way, yes we have them, but I've never seen one.

The AACA (aaca.org) recognizes all makes and I've seen CB750's on display at the Hershey Auto Show - if there was an organization where a large number of the members cringe to think that a Japanese product would warrant inclusion, this is it - at least from the members I know.  Anyway, unless someone has set a cut-off pre-1969, it is just plain stupid to ignore what Honda did with the CB750.  It was truly a revolution in motorcycling and arguably makes the CB750 a far more significant motorcycle than most if not all of the others you mention.

Here's a different twist for you, my wife (400F) & I (750K3) rode to a Vintage RR event at Mosport in 98, parked in the lot with hundreds of other bikes, most of them modern. At the end of the day a very nice gentleman who was in charge of the concours sponsored by the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group presented us each with a plaque. He said someone informed him of these two great old Hondas in the parking lot and the organizers felt we should be rewarded. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least.

Yeah, we have Boss Hosses here. My opinion is that they suck. They're bloody HUGE! Uncomfortable as could be. They're so wide because of the motor it's ridiculous.

A friend of mine has a 70 charger, very nice but not a restoration, it's all hotrod/street drags set up,  went to a few car shows (not entered in them) but he got peoples choice plaques from two of them.  One of them we were parked out on the street because the parking area was crammed full, heard a PA announcement about " will  the owner of the 70 charger license # blah blah please come to the judges booth" Had him pull in, looked it over and gave him a plaque, realy made his day.

Went to a bike show here yesterday, about 400 bikes, and from what I could see, not one 750 amongst them. Mine played up on the way, so took it home and went to the show two-up on the wife's 400/4. F%#*, if only I could have had mine there.......it would have been "one-of-a-kind" on the day.  :'(
There was a good mix of all sorts, including HD and Brit, but by far the majority were Jap, old and modern.
And I can tell you - the little 400/4 got as much attention as any other bike there - so many comments and chats.
Cheers.
