I GOT ONE! MUCH EXCITE!!!
« on: August 05, 2016, 12:05:29 PM »
Hey, SOHC/4-ers. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of the community. I've been lurking around for a couple of weeks trying to figure things since I recently acquired a 1972 CB500. I've always had a soft spot for the older 60s-70s era of motorcycles. Many months ago I took a picture of one particular motorcycle while visiting the Barber Motorsports Museum, not realizing I'd actually get to own one of it's family members. That motorcycle is this:

Last month I got a CB500 for, ironically, $500. It needs a lot of work but I should have it mobile by next week. I suppose I'll save the details for a build thread but for now here's a picture of the bike when I took delivery.

See you all around the interwebs!

If you havent noticed, the rear end has been lowered by a 16" wheel and shock lowering hardware.
Bringing it back to stock would most likely improve handling.

Well #$%*... I'll have an interesting video coming out soon then. I've been making videos but I don't have anything posted here. I guess you'll see the "well #$%*" moment soon.
