Hello ladies and gentlemen,
My name is Cecil and I'm from Northern Kentucky.  I recently got bit by the cb bug.   I can't explain the love for these old bikes but I love the sound,look and just enjoy seeing everyones projects and finished bikes.

I recently purchased a 1977 frame,1975 engine and various parts to start this dream bike of mine. I know there are complete bikes out there for sale but I really want to learn how to repair my own bike this is part of the fun to me.

If there are meet ups or events in Northern Kentucky area please message me like i stated earlier I enjoy seeing these bikes and would really like meet some like minded people. Cecil.

Welcome to SOHC4. Be aware.....a 77 frame and a 75 engine will have some differences than a 77 of each or a 75 of each. The early K bikes were similar up to 76. 77-78 have bigger differences like going to a 630 chain. Do your homework.

mrbreeze is right, but it can be made to work, see my signature, Red sports 78F engine, fork and wheels in 73K frame.

Thanks for the welcome.   I knew there would be differences  between the two, but as long I can get it mounted in frame.
I was looking at chain+sprocket combinations for sale cycle exchange I believe. Which is tricky to figure out what combination will work with what I'm doing.   However, that's one reason I'm here to learn thanks for the heads up. Cecil
