Wow... I has been a LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGG time since I have been on here and posted. Crazy how life takes it's twists and turns. I haven't even started my poor CB in over two years (or has it been three?)
--(hangs head in shame...)--
Anyway, inspiration has hit to make me get back to work on this thing. I've GOT to get the carbs sorted out. It's been running lean. To solve that I had incrementally increasing the slow jet size, but my issue still persists (Engine lean surges after coming down from revving). One of my thoughts on it is that it is simply not getting enough fuel flowing into the carbs to keep them at optimum level. I am running a '72 tank and fuel valve into the 78 carbs. The 72 valve has two fuel outlets, the 78 carbs only have one fuel inlet. I would like to replace the fuel rails on the 78 carbs with the inlet type off the earlier carbs (to give me two inlets instead of one), but the question is: Will they fit?
Anyone happen to have dimensions on the Fuel T fitting off the earlier carb sets? Specifically the OD and overall width where they slide into the carb bodies?
Pretty sure my links below still work if you want to take a look at poor project bike.
Thanks all! Good to see you again!
