I bought this wheel with the drilled rotor on ebay for about $20 the fender is a Honda Rebel fender that will be custom mounted. The fender was about $15 and has a nice shape.
Currently I'm polishing my legs. They have vericose veins. I'm trying to cram those seals in too and they are putting up a fight.

Here's the bike right with the motor back in and the side covers painted. I've also painted the Headlight bucket and brake parts in a durable epoxy paint which seems to be working well.

Superhawk: I put a new clutch cable and chain on the CB77 and put fuel in the tank to try and fire it up. The petcock is still leaking. I'll have to get a rebuild kit. The engine was getting no spark. It last ran about 2 years ago. It could be the wasted battery or something in the wiring. I was disappointed :'(

CB350G:  I've done some stripping on my second spare tank.(The first tank had small leaks in the tail seam.) This tank is in real nice shape for $25 plus shipping. It had been painted four times. Originally it was 73 Blue-green and then painted a dense Gold , then metallic Red and then Black. I need to sand it down and really prep it for painting. I'm running out of cash so I may have to try to paint it myself. I have occasional help from a very experienced automan. He said he could paint it any way I could imagine. He said that he could duplicate the factory striping with no trouble at all. He's very sure of himself and I believe him. Scott is helping me fit the fender to the front end. We heated the metal and stretched in some indents for the fork bodies. Soon we will fabricate a new bracket. I may have to copy the design for you who may be interested in this conversion. Scott also helped with my sorry superhawk fender. It's been beat up and we are making it presentable once more.

I've still got to polish the fork bodies and get those pesky seals to seat, and sell more spare parts. I have a set of 550f and CB350 gauges, a CB350 ignition and key in nice shape. I'll have to make a list.

ProTeal, you're not the only one who wants you to keep going with your 450 build. I've been quietly following your progress out here it cyberland, and I just love the look so far. I love it so much that I bought a cb350 yesterday, and snagged a 450 tank off ebay so I can build my own. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?   BTW, I just love the green original paint.

Update***
It's going slow. I've got the S&W shocks on. I've been polishing the Fork bodies, which is a process that Sucks! I used various grades of sand paper 250, 400,600, 1000 and then attempted to polish them on a wheel and It went very slow. I don't enjoy spending that much time on shining a piece of metal. I have a friend who used to polish. I'm going to track him down. I have taken the races off of the streering stem and am prparing to install the Allballs tapered bearings.
Currently I'm trying to sell some stuff on ebay and buy some prime and paint for the bike.
If anyone needs some shocks I may be able to hook you up with the supplier of these S&Ws He has only a couple sets of just shock bodies left. The seem to be about a quarter inch longer than stock.

I've finally got the fender brackets made so I can get the front end on. I'll get pics up and if anyone would like a template to do this fender conversion I can post it. I've got a new chain fit for the bike, its going to use a 98 instead of 96 link because the front sprocket has an additional tooth and I wanted to set the wheel back. I have made a chain too short if anyone can use a 94 link of shorter, let me know.
Putting the bike back together should be a snap, the only hurdle is going to be the paintwork.
Picks coming

Here are some pics of the brackets on the fender. It will look much different painted. The nuts were tack welded in place.
The fender was only about $15 on ebay. I think it will look great sitting 3/4" from the tire.

CB, That is going to be another very nice feature of your build. 8) I think that you have adapted that fender in a very decent way. 8) It never ceases to amaze me at all the cool ideas that the folks come up with on this forum. There is just so much talent and knowledge here.

Here's the fender on the bike. I'm putting the bracket and headlight bucket on next. Perhaps the clubman bars if all goes well.

Hey CB, That is one cool mod to the fender mounts. 8) It makes that fender look like it belongs there, you know? ;) That fender has a nice shape to it too! I'll be continuing to check this job out, as you get to where you can update us. Keep up the good work and I'll catch you later on, Bill :) ;)

Tank and fender have first coat of epoxy prime. I'll block sand them and then the few soft dings and imperfections will get filled. Hopefully this week.

It turns out one of the brackets need more moding, and I've been trying to run wires through my clubman bars and I just don't think its gonna work. So I am goin to make an exit for the wires at the end of the control post instead of routing it out the center of the bars like stock. I've got new cables on the way from Surius in Canada and the only thing I really need is rearsets, but I think this will have to wait.

I've decided to paint the tank red to match the tail part I've purchased. The tank will have a small silver band at the bottom, about an 1-1/4 tall. This should give the tank a slender appearance while sticking to Honda factory race colors, and it will serve to connect the tank and the seat on the same horizontal visual line. Yeah. I'll probably end up putting the chrome trim on as well. I hope this looks good. It can be hard to choose a paint scheme.

Baby is coming in two weeks!!!

I haven't spent any time in the garage lately because of the baby, Morgan. My friend has all of the bodywork and he has done some filling of the minor dings on the tank and fender. I'm really trying to finish this for next to nothing. I talked with a painter who has lots of partial cans of paint. I could probably buy a can of red very cheap, but my friend is getting to buisy to do the painting very soon. I may have to bite the bullet and just be even more patient. I want this bike done sooooon. :( Although the exhaust is still not in and with no date in sight. Hmmm.
