Quote from: grcamna2 on August 20, 2016, 07:31:43 PMI'm still trying to learn what Lochte and his other 3 swim champ buddies did that night? I heard something that he was apologizing for his behaviour but didn't hear what he did. They vandalised a toilet in a service station and then made up some story about being robbed at gunpoint to cover it up.Sheesh, you wouldn't get professional sportmen behaving like that!

Ha ha, well one commentator suggested that most athletes should be locked up in jail between sporting events for everyone's safety, and I don't think he was too far from the truth...........

All would've been forgiven if they had just fessed up about it from the start. Instead though they come up with some crazy story and take the story public ..... as in world wide public and that is what has gotten everyone in Rio pissed off.

QuoteThey vandalised a toilet in a service station and then made up some story about being robbed at gunpoint to cover it up.The vandalism was Lochte ripping a poster off the wall of the service station and the 4 swimmers pissed outside instead of using the facilities. Here is the part I don't get: They were held at gunpoint by a security guard for the service station who would only let them leave if they paid him for the "damages". In just about every country in the world holding someone against their will at gunpoint is a crime but Lochte is taking the brunt of the blame. In essence they were robbed at gunpoint but Lochte initiated the events by ripping the poster off the wall. I don't understand why they didn't just go public with the real story. Sure they look like ugly Americans but they were the victims of a crime.Scott
