Picked this up...
« on: August 13, 2016, 06:33:25 AM »
Pretty pleased — not in the SOHC family, but not far. 1979 CB750F Super Sport. 12k miles. Going to just clean it up, get it functionally sound, keep it stock. Something a bit 'sportier' than my CB500.

Nice find, do not see many of those F's popping up around here.  Looks to be in fine shape. Rode a neighbors and it was a good ride, I'd put one in my stash also if a nice one came around at an attractive price. Let us know your impressions when you get riding it more.

I love the look of those bikes. My friend just sold a super nice stock CB1100F and has an amazing, tasteful resto-mod CB900F. I drool over it every time I see it.

That is a nice find.

You will find that it is WAY more sportier than your 500.

Either me or Flybox can kick you in the right direction about the carbs if you need help.

I had a chance at a  750 f fixer upper with 20 k on the clock. It would have been something to ride with  my sb friends without looking antique. It slipped through my fingers.

Nice SS Sam 8)Don't see many of those in that shape. No doubt sportier and faster than the CB500. But I still like the old sohc4 CB's ;)
