Cb350 seat on a cb550
« on: August 13, 2016, 07:20:18 AM »
First of all; Hi, i'm new to this forum. My name is martijn and im from that tiny little country you guys probably know as 'Holland'.

Just bought an old and tired honda cb550F and im trying to fix it up with the limited resources i've got. My question is pretty straight forward, and as the subject already hinted: "does a cb350 seat fit on a honda CB550, and if it wil, does it look ok? Found a good deal on one in pretty good condition.

Thanks in advance!

I had one laying around that I tried fitting on my 550 just like you because it didn't have a seat when I bought it. I think it could work with some modification  and look OK but the hinge and latch locations are different.

Thanks for the reply! You made up my mind. Im going to skip the seat and wait until a nice cb550 comes around. That way i don't have to butcher a perfectly fine cb350 seat and i can concentrate on the engine. The thing needs some looking after. Cheers

Martjin, there are a number of sources for reproduction seats, including David Silver Spares in England. In the US a new reproduction with shipping runs about $300 including shipping.
