Oil leaking from Oil Pressure Sending Unit / Tube
« on: September 13, 2016, 07:39:07 PM »
Hi,

I'm new to the Forum, but I am stuck as to how to fix this problem. When I start my 74 CB750 and ride about a mile, oil starts to leak out from the tube covering the Oil Pressure Sending Unit. I have checked the oil levels, and checked whether there is a smell of gas in the oil tank, for which there is not. Any ideas what may be causing this leakage? I have attached a photo which can hopefully help.

Thanks,
Simon

You mean from that rubber piece that looks like tobacco pipe?

You could have leak under the sensor, it is not common.   Pull off the rubber piece to see where is it really coming from.  The sensor can be resealed if necessary.
