Well, after buying three ratty ones, I finally got a nice one. I present, my newly acquired 1967 CB77, aka 305 Super Hawk.
After pricing out parts to restore one of the three others that I have, I decided it was cheaper to buy a nice one. This one is mostly all-original (engine refreshed, engine cases, fork tube covers, and headlight ears painted). It only had 2,650 miles on it when I picked it up (now it has 2,689).

Very nice bike. A friend of mine had one new and that was what sparked my interest in Honda so long ago.

Looks like a real well preserved time capsule. Bet its nice to just find a nice one and ride and not have to go through all that resto process.

It sure is. That's my M.O. any more. I've bought two ratty CL175K0's, and then found a nice, ready-to-ride one, and bought it (also, low miles, well preserved original).

Nice bike. I still have my dad's 66 Super Hawk. I learned to ride on a 64 Super Hawk.

Only about 80 miles. I'd like to keep it to only a few hundred per year, since it has so few miles on it.
I was going to sell all three project bikes, but, now I'm thinking of keeping one, and building a rider so I can keep the miles off this one.

I just took it for a nice little ride this morning.

I bought a new one in 1967 and it took every dime I had to my name! ($700 and change).

Would love to track it down now and re- do it,

I bought a used 1966 CL77 which was my first 'big bike' after riding my Dad's CT90 around for yrs.,I enjoyed that 305

and it was the bike I took my license test on. How many years did they make the CB77 'Superhawk' ?

The made it for 7 years, 1961-1967. Some left over 1967 models got titled as 1968, but, 1967 was actually the last year of production.

After a little quick googling, I'm finding numbers between 27.5 and 28.5 HP for the CL77, so, basically the same as the CB77.

Both make more HP than the CA77 Dream. CB77 was claimed at 28HP, CA77 was claimed at 23 HP.

I just never really got a good look at his bike but now I can see it;that luggage rack looks like it could carry his small travel wardrobe

"Roustabout" - It was just on some channel last night.
That scene is him getting bailed out jail by that girl then totally dissing her and riding off to eventually become a carny!
Honda must have paid to feature that bike so prominently in the film.

I couldn't remember if he got the bike back out of the shop in the end and rode away
