Man time is flying. So many little projects to deal with, plus making sure I am caught up on work, plus finalizing my route.

Two weeks ago I thought I was golden, now I am a little bit panicky.

Glad I'm not the only one getting a little panicky   ;D

You both are not alone, let me assure you of that.  Frank is rebuilding TWO motors...the things we do.

A little stress helps you get things done, too much...well we all know those effects.

Hey Frank,

If you are able to get a bike together in time I'm thinking you will be/could be riding right by this

Unfortunately I cannot make it, some other big projects took away needed time from the motorcycle work and I cannot finish nor afford the trip now.  1st night of reservation Monday is covered at Dolores but with Ray and I out Kirk is going to want a couple people to fill the cabin.  With rain forecasted it is going to be so hard to find a tent camper to take you up on those spots I am betting. ;)
Was looking forward to the get together.  Returning to school cost is going to be a bit higher than I planned for... it starts Sept 5.

OK. I printed out this thread (82 pages) and based on everyone's responses I have 17 yes (including +1's), 5 6 definitive outs, and still 7  6 maybes.

One of the yeses was as of 1/17, so I have e-mailed them for an update , but I would assume no replies to the thread in 6+ months means they aren't coming Confirmation received, Proto is in.

2 of the maybes have also not contributed to the thread since mid-January and one since late March, I PM'd them for updates, but I would assume they aren't actually coming.

Here are the names:

Yes: Bankerdanny, Mooshie, 754, budman, CB650, CBJoe (+1),  DonR, Gene (+1), JerryRXman, NewBoots, Offreen, Proto (per January post confirmed today), Scottly, tlbranth (+1).

Maybe: Desert-SOHC, Fattmatt, DaSchwartz (per FatMatt), Grabcon, kpier, RocketJohnny, Taxiscooter

Out: FunJimmy, Hondaman, RAF122S, Spanner1, Woodtone, Desert-SOHC.

If I have missed any yeses or want to upgrade from maybe to yes, please let me know.

Danny

Yeah,  I am still in.  Snagged one of the cabins.  New tires and wheel bearings installed on old F1.  It should be able to make the short 300 mile trip to the party!

With rain forecasted it is going to be so hard to find a tent camper to take you up on those spots I am betting. ;)

Rain is one of the reasons to pack a tent.

Greg, might not need to stay in a tent at Dolores if you intended to...
Since the occupants of camping cabin I reserved were myself, Kurt kpier, and Ray  spanner1 there are two spots open in the cabin with myself and Ray unable to attend, or four if a couple were using the bed and two in the bunk beds.  Cabins have to be cancelled 21 days in advance, past that window by several days.

It will be a couple years befor I am able to participate in another reunion unless it is virtually in my backyard and coincided with a break between terms as I am tied up for 20 months in a trimester setup beginning in Sept.
Yes, camping on the way in rain will need a tent instead of just a sleeping bag.  Maybe the long range forecast will shift to move any liquid sunshine before or after the travel windows.
Forfeiting a camping site for a camping cabin can be done with a shorter window...I think the faq/rates page indicated it could be done 7 days in advance, only costing a $10 processing fee.  Don't know if that was the one they already collected with the reservation or an additional $10 processing fee.  Hopefully just the former.

BTW,  may I suggest that the attendees make it possible for HondaMan to join the fun?  He is close in Denver and his job loss hit at the wrong time.

I will miss meeting everyone.  I was looking forward to that, even if I was going to be riding the plastic maggot there...and the grief you usually catch by many about them...good thing I have broad shoulders. ;)

Finally started planning the rest of my 2 weeks that wraps around this event. Booked a tent site at a campground near Monument Valley for the night of the 17th and an Antelope Canyon tour for the afternoon of 8/18.

Looking to see right now how to incorporate a stop at the National Motorcycle Museum in Animosa, IA on my way out to Colorado. I should be able to squeeze a visit in on the Saturday that I leave.

Greg, might not need to stay in a tent at Dolores if you intended to...

Sleeping in a tent during rain and staying dry is one of the great pleasures of life.  A better than a cheap Walmart tent is required though.  I have to admit I don't like putting up or striking a tent in the rain much, but have done it many times, so no biggie. ;)

Hey guys and Gals. Don't let the forecast of rain keep you from coming. I just got back from the Paonia BMW Rally. When I left to go there the forecast was 80% chance of rain every day. It never rained at the Rally. But it rains somewhere in the mts every day. So come on. If it does rain I have room in my cabin for someone.

I'm definitely planning on attending, but I still haven't finished my bike. Long story short, I'm turning three bikes into one good one. If all goes well, I'll be rolling next week, I'm pretty much down to some painting and reassembly at this point. Unfortunately, my backup plan bike started making expensive noises recently so I'm all in on the Frankenbike project. Hopefully I can convince Mooshie to ride behind me and pick up stray parts again ::). I'm pretty sure DaSchwartz is still in, he's been struggling with some tuning issues for awhile now but I THINK he's just about got it all figured out.
So much to do, so little time.
