Pic from the Past

Ran across this 1974 pic of me and my brand new orange CB450K4. Ran the bike a few years then picked up my first 750 which was the K7 model. Yes, that is a bit of snow on the ground which explains the long winter coat and gloves. My guess is a March or April pic.

Good pic Johnie. Was that in Oshkosh, Wis. Never had one but always liked those CB450dohc's. Friend in High School had the same 74 model.

Dwight...is that you on that SL with those Pro Keds? I thought it was Ringo???  LOL
Yup, that pic was in Oshkosh. Was not crazy about the vibration in the bars at highway speeds. Would make my hands go numb. The 750K7 solved all that. Somewhere I have a pic of my first new bike a 1972 CL175...I will have to find it.

Yeah the old moptop. Hair is a little shorter these days and no doubt a whole lot greyer. Hard to tell by your pic Johnie but it looks like your sportin some Elvis sideburns there ;D Is that what got Mrs. Johnie's attention ;) or was it strictly your Honda's ;D Good luck finding that CL175 pic of yours. If your like me even though we had quite a few different bikes back in the day we didn't take that many pictures of them. My 1974 CB360 and my 1976 CB550 can't find any pics of either one :(

I had that very same bike. I got mine around 1981 or 1982. Mine started out gold, but we repainted it red with a silver side and gold pinstripes. I wish I had a picture, but all my family photo's disappeared a few years back when my dad was moving from his home to an assisted living facility.

Good eyes there hall...Elvis was alive and well in Oshkosh in '74. Was hoping' Marcia would notice me back then :)

To get back on subject of pics from the past here is my first motorized 2 wheeler. Im thinking the years was 1969. A Sensation mini bike with a 3 1/2hp Briggs. It wasn't fast or powerful enough for me so I ditched the 3 1/2 and bolted a 5hp Briggs in the frame 8) and adjusting the governor. It would haul a$$ ;) The pic is not the best but you can see I had no helmet, no gloves and if you look real close I didn't even have any shoes on. When your that age we all think we are invincible and we'll live forever.
