That GS 1150 or that RS 1100 bet they would make good long
distance machines.

I did 2000km on an RT1200 in September over a four day period. It was so nice to ride that I could have turned around and done the trip the other way around. I think that BMW make a fabulous product.

http://www.sohc4.us/forums/index.php?topic=14136.msg138858#msg138858

Then shortly afterwards I did a 100 mile trip on the old K0. Harsh suspension, relatively underpowered, sitting up in the wind half the day, dodgy brakes, getting a bit tired on that hard seat...but, I certainly won't be getting rid of the K0, there is nothing like it.

Is this acute onset, or has this been coming on for a while?  When did this begin?  Did some crisis precede this?  Is it accompanied by any other signs or symptoms?  Headache, dizziness, nausea or vomitting, disorientation?  Have you suffered head trauma anytime in the recent past?  Does anything provoke these attacks?  Relieve them?  Have you been doing drugs or alcohol?  When is this illness worst, or is it fairly consistent and constant?

You do understand that open forum does not necessarily imply open minded? ;)

A BMW doesn't seem to fit the image of somebody who does their off roading on a horse.  :D

I know burma, I was thinking of breaking new ground here,
but the asprins seem to have worked and this acute onset of BMWitis
has let up. :) (mostly because I quit looking at them on ebay :))

...hey Robert, a cousin of mine back in Rob Co. just picked up an R1200.  He's bating me to go cross country with him next summer.  Get a bike together and join us!  The question is are you gonna take the easy way out and do it on a beamer, or do it on a 30 year old bike?   ::)  I'm going to will this 77 super sport to make the trip.  Not sure if I'm brave or just a glutton for punishment!

Any time. We're in the old brick house with the weeping cherry tree in front.
When I get back to normal. I'll be out riding on days like that.  Perfect-o !

I'm not sure, but I think that may be a purpose built super charged 500cc racer. Very rare.

Here's a picture of my hot-rod sleeper.  Sounds impressive if I say it's 400cc over stock.  It has a sidecar on it now.

Check out this site for good Beemer info.  http://www.bmwrt.com/index.html

I'm leaning that way myself, won't let go of the Hondamatic, but I need something for 2 up long distance.
