How modern mate? I love my 1995 VFR750, they've got 106 BHP, goes around corners, has good brakes, is relatively light and comfortable for longer rides. And like me, they're cheap. I wouldn't buy an earlier version, (mine is the last version of the VFR750 before the fuel injected VFR800's that I'm told are not as good) Cheers, Terry.

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.
So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

I've got a 2005 model. I think that's the first year with some suspension adjustments available on the front end. Spring preload and compression damping. I've had mine for about 10 years. It's pretty torquey and doesn't need to be revved out to go fast. I had it on a dyno once and it made 94 horsepower at the wheel. I haven't had any trouble with it. I think I've put about 12,000 miles on it. I've got 2 other bikes that i ride more often just because they're old and cooler. I wouldn't have any trouble with the 919 being my only bike or riding it every day.

I've got a 2004 model I bought new in the fall of 2005. I've put 20,000+ miles on it with no issues, just the recommended maintenance. I wouldn't care to travel long distance with it, but enjoy shorter rides.
