Topic: Does anyone else's #1 carb do this???

This isn't really a running issue at all. On the roundtop carbs on my CB750, the #1 carb overflow will puke when the bike is off and on the kickstand if I don't turn off the petcock. I always thought this was because that carb is leaned over the furthest so maybe the float doesn't shut off all the way? The float heights on all 4 are right.

You might need a new float needle or to cleen the seat

Those little float valves don't always close right.....   That's why Honda put the fuel shut off valve on our bikes.   If you leave your bike without shutting the valve you could come back to a puddle of fuel at any time. 

Shut it off when you shut off the engine every time.

Could need a float adjust. Or the overflow tube could be cracked. I had the same thing and when I was cleaning my carb the tube broke off super easy while I was gingerly cleaning the bowl.

As you can see if you zoom in on the second pic the small sliver of shinny brass was all that was holding it on. I know there a a few guys who have some extra bowls on here. I bet one will post.

Try plugging the drain and spray carb cleaner or something onto the tube and see if it sprays out where it shouldn't.
