supersport exhaust studs
« on: November 29, 2006, 01:15:59 PM »
I am mounting a super sport exhaust to my K3 and need to buy the studs to attach the exhaust collars, anyone know what the specs for these things are?

750?

My parts manual for my 75 750F (also 76) lists these as bolt, stud, 8X50 AND bolt 2, stud, 8X32. 2 different part numbers listed under same item number. Both say 8 required so I'm not sure which is the more appropriate. If I had to choose and they both worked I'd go with the 32mm length.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

For the 77-78 Supersport exhaust you'll need the 8x50 stud. I would think it's the same for 75-76 but not sure. Does the 75-76 exhaust use the older "spigot" mount or does it use two spacers and a collar to press the header to the head?

No spigots, they use the collars and spacers.

They were still available from Honda a couple of years ago.  I got several then.

I rounded up the 8X50 studs from the hardware store, I'm hooking everything up today.
