Tank badge screws?
« on: September 02, 2016, 01:12:05 PM »
Anyone have the part number for the tank badge screws from the ~'71 style CL350 tanks? The kind that are screwed on instead of using the pins on the back of the badges?
I've looked at the parts fiche and I can't even find that style badge listed, let alone the tiny little screws. If I had the part # I could look for a source or a cross reference. Or...if anyone has a couple to spare....

I have an original '68 parts catalog and the later CB/CL fiche that lists the later models.
The parts fiche doesn't show an exploded view of the CL350K3 tank, it only lists the whole tank as a PN.
The screws aren't listed in any of the docs I have for the CL350.
However, the CL175 uses the same badges and the fiche does show the screws but no one lists the PN....

I can take a look at screws on my K3 tank badges and maybe get a measurement.

I found out they're M4 x 6 so that gives me something to search for.

Actually, they look more like M3x6.
I have a whole bag of M3x8 and the badge screw is identical except for length.

I noticed this morning my CM400 has one missing on the left side, use Loctite.

3x6mm says bikebandit.

Yeah, I took one of mine to Lowe's and compared it to the M4 screws and they're definitely smaller, so M3 it is. M4 was the smallest Lowes had.
