Wiring Harness Differences
« on: September 01, 2016, 05:42:30 AM »
I see in various on-line shops the wiring harnesses for K's are different for:
69 through 71
72
73 through 75
76.

Mines a 76. And more expensive.

Does anyone know the difference between a 75 and 76?

Can I use the 75 and save $25.00, (he said frugally).

Go to OldManHonda and compare schematics - there is just more sihte with later years - could be running lights for instance.

Any harness will work, just some will need to be adapted more than others

I used 78f harness on my build - but went with old NOS turn signals. I removed running lights wires from the harness, did not need them. Also the whole nonsense of safety module.

I also added a wire - from battery to headlights relays.

The '75's still had an on-off switch for the headlight. The '76 headlight was always on.
I think the starter safety switch is different as well.
You can compare the 75-76 diagrams in the shop manual supplement.
