Forum member Wobbly has checked out from the forum?
« on: September 02, 2016, 03:14:40 AM »
I noticed that forum member Wobbly is checked out from the forum. All posts now as guest.
- Anyone heard if something has gone bad or wrong?

He is a US miltary living in Germany (Landstuhl) riding a CB750 K7 in very good shape. Interesting trips over the alps and very helpful in the forum with high level of knowledge. I saw that his Facebook links  do not work eiither.

I have had plans to take my bike in his direction....

Afaik there was a heated discussion about steering dampers and he got offended and left.

Somebody should have his email.

Steering damper threads bring out the worst in some members, and it's a shame that Tom shuffled off, he's a good bloke. If you find him Pewe, tell him to come back. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

OK, steering damper thread.... Nothing worse... I searched and found 2 us military guys died in a car crasch with an M3 in April.... not his name though.
I guess I saw a thread with that, May 2016. All of us have experiences with our bikes and I'm sure many have experiences with steering damper. Typical technical forums that sometimes becomes very hot....

Maybe I can send a message (SMS)..... Next year must get  time for a touring going south. I had the Classic Bike meeting in Flensburg 19-21 August in my mind but my wife got ideas going to Alicante...not on the bike..

He can hopefully come back to the forum. He might be around but not logged in... :-)

Sometimes things in life stacks up and a small thing can be the drop....  I'm sure most of us guys have been there several times during the  half century of life.

That's true, but I always try to take the approach, "When dealt lemons, make lemonade" and "The glass is always half FULL".  ;)  8)

Harboring bad karma only hurts. Not saying there aren't times when's there's little or nothing you can do, but maintaining a positive attitude and doing the best I knew how has always helped me through. And when I do make mistakes, admit it, apologize if appropriate, and get on down the road. It's really all you can do to stay healthy and self-respecting. :)

I should have added, "what the hell does this old East Texas Redneck know about it any way?"  ???  My opinion and 50ยข might buy you a real cheap cup of coffee!  ;)

Parts removed - too much BS!  :o

I didn't care for Lloyd either Bobby, and only some of his information was ever "correct". He didn't know sh1t about the benefits of oil coolers, steering dampers or electronic ignitions, so he declared them all as "Snake Oil", and attacked anyone who didn't agree with him. Funnily enough, it's hard to find a modern bike that that doesn't come with those items from the factory nowadays............  I miss Dave and Wobbly a lot more. ;D

the thread was a few months ago and I am too lazy to go searchin.  #$%* got blown out quick with deleted posts, accounts and even a moderator suspended a member...I think.  By the time I got there, nothing made any sense from all the deletions.  Best part was most everyone agreed that a steering damper was a good thing but tempers flared about whether you should be adjusting it whe riding or not.  I generally thought highly of wobbly, but it seemed that he was very derisive of the op of the thread who had been in a bad crash caused by severe head shake at high speed.  I found that to be very insensitive.

Has nothing to do with member Wobbly but noticed a while back that another member MarkCB750 has not been around in a long time and is listed as a guest now. Met him at the first sohc4 relay ride back in 2011. He had a nice 750K6.

It might be too easy to delete the profile? One button and it's over....  a verification one week later of the request can save members of loosing friends for small things.
