new to SOHC/4
« on: September 09, 2016, 09:41:13 AM »
I found a 74 350f with 12k on the clock. I have a question as I am new to resto techniques: what is the best way to soften up the hard rubber intakes?

Welcome.  Use the search (upper right corner) to look for reconditioning of rubber.
Now  1972 CB350FX (experimental v2.0)

Mostly the search bar is struggling right now due to technical issues.

Boil the rubber boots in a mixture of water and Wintergreen oil. Do this outside as he fumes are pretty obnoxious.  :-\ keep an eye on them too. Boil for too long and you will have mush soup  :P

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S.
