Head gasket is leaking I know I have to pull the engine, should I replace the base gasket and do the rings at the same time?. The bike only has 16000 miles on it. just thought it would make sense to do it all at once, but with low mileage is it really needed?

I would say yes...since you have it out.

The gaskets are cheap as a set. Remember the 6 rubber donut seals under the cam.

While I had it out I would replace the valve seals.

I'd be awful tempted to replace all the seals (shifter, cluch cover, etc) Old rubber shrinks and gets hard.
