I'm Gonna Be On A TV SHOW! Wrench Against The Machine!
« on: September 13, 2016, 03:57:26 PM »
I figured I would let the community know that a fellow SOHC4.net member is gonna be on a new TV show! SOHC4.net is where it all started for me so I have to give a big THANK YOU to the community.

I just received clearance from the network to be able to announce that a few months back I had the opportunity to be featured in a new TV series called "Wrench Against the Machine". It was the most intense 72 hours of my life and it was AWESOME! I can not disclose too many details about it for obvious reasons but I figured I would open the discussion of how ridiculous I look on national TV now... HAHA.

Make sure you guys check it out. The series premier is on November 15th and I am supposedly going to be on the 3rd episode. It will be airing on the Esquire Network.

It will be interesting to see what brand/model of motorcycle you will be working with. Did you have a choice in that matter ?
I have a friend who made an appearance on the Antiques Roadshow with a very rare book and he had to be very tight lipped until after the episode aired. One thing he told me was that he had to educate the appraiser on what he had and then it made me laugh a little as my friend nodded in agreement with a happy and surprised look with all the 'worldly' knowledge the esteemed appraiser knew.  ::)

Ekpent - It was very interesting! We did not have a choice in what bike we were given or what style of bike we had to build. It was shocking really. haha

I have!
Love the concept - even though they try to "biker party" it up at the end - everybody seems to be having fun with it.
My only complaint is that the judges haven't picked the right winners yet

I just watched the Lossa episode online on xfinity. Looks like a fun show. I almost went on a car fab show until I discovered how much it was going to cost me. Travel. Room, Food, The same clothes to wear every day of filming. etc. all you got is the exposure.

Don - It was a blast and easily the most intense 72 hrs of my life. They paid for all room and board as well as all travel expenses and a per diem for daily food. Even though food was provided on set.

Bill440cars - It is going to be interesting to see how they edit all together and how it compares to what the real life experience was.

RAF122S - They are all available on the Esquire Channel through most cable providers. I believe the first 2 episodes were available for free. I know you can access them online through their website with a cable provider log in info. I was also told that you can purchase the individual episodes through iTunes and Amazon Prime.

Retro Rocket - Thank you much! Its funny, I was born in Baulkham Hills in NSW and the guy that I went up against was from Victoria... There was a behind the scenes grudge match going on!
