Larry,
I have the time and I'm willing to find a way down South for you and ride your Kawasaki back to PA.

Thanks for the kind offer Bill, bike is presently at Cal's place in VA.  He trailered it from SC to his place. Awesome guy Cal is...Larry

Always just one more bike, isn't it Larry?

I seen them over in italy packed with germans and other nations from up north, seemed popular and reliable.

Transalps are very popular here. Tough as old boot, as they say. Not my cup of tea, but I admire a well constructed bike of any type or make.

Kudos to Cal for being "Johnnie on the spot" once again !

Oooops, sorry Cal, never meant to equate you to the old crapper. Mind you, they are quite useful also, take sh1t without complaining and are everyone's lifeline in their darkest hour or hour of darkness.

The Monty Python team might have put it this way :

O.Wilde : Your majesty is like yonder outhouse at the foot of the garden
HRH Prince of Wales : Explain yourself man !!!!
G.B. Shaw : Yes, Wilde, explain your self
O.Wilde (nervously, while fidgeting with his thing) : I merely meant that your majesty provides comfort for all  in regal splendour and aplomb
G.B Shaw : I wish I had said that
O.Wilde : Fcuk off you Irish cnut

Forum member Cal was kind enough to pick the pick up in SC and bring it very close to my home. Awesome guy who wouldn't take a  penny for his time and gas. Lot of awesome people on this forum.

So the Concours is here ;D ;D Put a couple hundred miles on it the first day-smooth as can be, fast, quick handling, good balance even at low speeds. No such thing as a short trip, want to keep on riding.  Like new condition with only 4200 on the speedo(no I don't wear one ::)).

I've wanted a Concours since they first came out somewhere around 1986.  The impetus was a fellow mechanic at Montgomeryville Cycle Center rode one in one of the first Iron Butt Rallys.  The owner of the shop, Gary Patterson, sponsored Nick Phillips for the 10000 mile trek,  Nick finished :) 8). .  Back then only 14 riders or so started and I think all but two finished.

Everyone who has seen it really likes that color too, Bill.  Lots of good people here, few of us actually know each other but will go out of the way to help. What's the modern phrase?  Pass it on?  Since Cal wouldn't take any money I passed it on to the forum's monthly needs.  take care....Larry
