Saw an interesting news shot from out your way this morning. I was a shot of some palm trees in British Columbia with snow on them. :o I knew the coastal areas were generally mild, but not that mild.

Said to snow here in Chicagoland by the end of the week.
I am actually looking forward to a good heavy snow, so I can break out my new 9 horse snow blower (with foglights installed by owner ;D)

This weekend I drove 550 miles, mostly in the dark (4am or 5pm), over two days in drifting snow along secondary roads in rural Alberta. The warmest it got was -25 Celsius (-16 F) and this am when I stepped out at 6 am it was a balmy -30 Celsius (-22 F). I can just barely remember the +27 C day last July that I rode my 550 with shorts and T shirt because it just had to - it was too hot for the leather! Any way you look at it, this is ugly stuff.
Time is short!

I was in Gonzales Texas when it snowed a few years ago. I guess it had not in about 35 years. 1/2 inch of snow just cripled the county. I was out blazing as I was raised in the snow of Wisconsin.  ;D

Disgusting! Damn disgusting! The snow that is... not the blower of course... I'm in downstate IL and we're facing the same sentence, although I have no "toy" to play with in the snow!  Anyone ever had "spike" tires on their bike like in one of the James Bond flicks?  I've always wondered if those would work...

It's headed this way  >:(, the snow, not the ocean.  ;D A week ago they warned us it was going to cool off later this week. A few days ago, they said it would rain. Then they said it might have some snow mixed in. This morning I heard we could get up to 5" on Friday.

You don't have ice racing out in Illinois?  You can make your own spike tires if you want.  Get some tubular tires and drill drywall screws out from the inside of the tire.  Not exactly legal.  Of course you can have studded tires done, but the prob with them is that the studs can become bullets at speeds over 100 MPH.  ;)

On the USS Great Britain,  ;D the biggest aircraft carrier The USA has.  ;) It's totally tropical considering it's almost December, not even a frost yet!  8) I love global warming, you US guy's keep pumping out that CO2 please. I'm taking a ride to the seaside Saturday for some fish&chips, I could never have done that 20 years ago in December.  ::)

Twostroke, How did you get the snow so high in that first picture?

I pointed it straight up, just fooling around, but that's how far it throws it.  All of those older gravelys will throw it 40 to 60 feet!  It's definitely a head turner!
