I wish I wasn't far. I'd buy it from you or trade for 550 parts.

I would love to see this go to someone here that's going to take care of it. Make an offer.

Around here I see these listed for as high as $2500 with more miles and not nearly as clean. It's at 2 grand right now for the average Joe.

I might possibly be interested in a trade......the wife is show ALOT more interest in riding again and the 750 is a bit small for anything realistic.  I have done a few more things since this pic.

My 750 SOHC needs to be a chopper/bar hopper and I need a touring bike for my daily.

I have a buddy in Albuquerque that really wants an early GL. For that money he might be interested in driving up to get it.

I think your 750 looks very nice but, for me, it would really be the same issue that I face with this GL. It's just not gonna be the tool I'm wanting right now.

Please check with him Danny. If he wants better pics I can do that. If he sees it and is interested then we can exchange contact info and talk more specifics.

Yeah I'm really unhappy about the whole thing to be perfectly honest. I feel badly when I see my friend at work.

I say keep it until late May.
Won't really cost anything and you never know what the fates have in store. Better to have it when you don't want it, than to not when you need it.

I understand completely, just throwing it out there.  I love my SOHC...the wife not so much, she misses the bagger.

If I still had a bagger she would be happy.  For those RARE days that she would like to passenger the SOHC just isnt comfy or big enough for 2 up when she was used to a 2009 HD Ultra "road couch", but when I retired I got rid of everything that had a payment to be debt free, I can always buy another one if I choose to.  She still wrestles with the idea of having her own bike and I've offered to find her a 750 of her own but she hasnt pulled the trigger yet.

The statement that you made could be interpreted as though you love your SOHC but that you don't love your wife.  :o  ;)  ;D

I got a deal on a 79, not as good as yours but after riding it to Sturgis and keeping it a year I love my wing. 85 mph all day long. I'm doing a bolt on paint job buying the burgundy body parts and putting the burgundy fairing on that I have.
Don't keep it very long, or ride it very much,  you will be hooked.  In S Dakota I went 85 mph all afternoon. Goldwing don't mind.

I'm fond of my naked 77 GL1000 to Don. My 750's are nice but they don't compare to the Wang for a smooth, comfy ride. To be honest it's about to spoil me.

I was in the woods all week with zero cell reception and was hoping to come out and have my inbox loaded with inquiries but...that did not happen. This morning I parked it in town so all the people coming up the mountain to look at the leaves could see it. Hopefully it will catch someone's eye.

That bike will sell.

When it does sell, you'll probably get a very interested buyer who loves early GL's.Will you be bringing a keg over to your buddy who practically gave it to you ?  :D

I know not everyone looks at Craigslist but I'm still a bit surprised I haven't had any interest. I listed it in Denver this morning as well.

Typically, Oct is a bad time of year to sell bikes, unless you are in a warm climate
