we've discussed this before but I don't remember whether we got to the bottom of why you need three cams (other than to go faster than a CBR of course)

Picture of a fairing is pretty meaningless.
Get a picture of stripped down engine to get a real response

I've read about the Motoczysz bike in several mags. The way I understand it, the motor is a very narrow angle V-4. The center cam is shared between all 4 cylinders, the outers serve 2 cylinders apeice. So yeah, it has three cams, but  it is effectively a dohc engine, with no more than two cams serving any one cylinder. At least that was my take on it.

So what makes them think that they've got any chance against the Honda and Yamaha MotoGP bikes?  Assuming that is their aim of course.

The V-4 is mounted longitudaly, crank fore and aft. It's supposed to have really good aerodynamics because it's so narrow. The suspension is a pretty radical design. the fork legs are castings that allow side to side wheel movement when cranked over in a corner. The rear swing arm is similar. I think they are betting on the chasis to make it competitive moreso than the motor. But it sounds like they all have more motor than they need anyway, it's a question of getting the power to the ground.
