His wife walked through while I was waiting, and was the most pleasant person - said hi with a smile, asked if I was being waited on, and offered to be any assistance if possible.

She's great for that business and very supportive, that's probably the Only reason he has any repeat new customers.

Does he have a hot, single "farmer's daughter"?
That's the only way I'm going back.

The busted up handle bars were returned to me yesterday. I took the controls out of the bars and now I'm not even sure they're CB350 controls. No matter....they'll probably be used as parts to save this other set I have.

Thursday would have been the day that I could get eBay to step in on the tank/badges situation. You guessed it.....at 9:30 Wednesday night, the seller messaged me with "Great news! I found the badges and screws!". We exchanged a few messages and he's supposedly sending them and TWO petcocks (even though he told me he threw away the petcock) this weekend. I asked that they ship ASAP and that he include a tracking number. If I don't have a tracking number by the time I get home Monday night, I'll just go through eBay. That will have been 25 days since purchase; plenty of time to get it straightened out.

It's easy enough to find: search completed listings for CL350 tank.  Match the picture in the auction to the picture Scott posted and you will find him. I would respect Scott's wishes and not post the name here though.

I've been very fortunate when dealing with new sellers on ebay, especially the last one.The one thing I would like is for them to upload tracking #'s in a timely manner..  ::)

He promised to ship this weekend and provide a tracking number. When I contacted him yesterday he said he hasn't had a chance, even though it's been 10 days since we started talking about it and 24 days since I bought it.
I followed through with eBay and they sided with me, but I have to return the tank. They have no way to grant partial refunds, which is what I was asking for.
This sucks, because the tank was solid and now I've wasted a month and STILL have to find a good tank.

If you deal with this guy, be damn sure you know what you're getting. Better yet, don't deal with him.

We need to find you a REAL fuel tank for your Wife's CL350  :)
This last one here would be the 4th tank you got that didn't work out...  :o ::)  I'll certainly keep my eyes open locally(so I can see for myself) and hope other sohc4.net members do also.

I guess he got the message from eBay. He just messaged me " I can get them out this week dude. I know you ve been patient".

I told him that eBay has sided with me and the label is printed and the tank is boxed. I reminded him of his other empty promises. I have to work Monday, so I can't ship until Tuesday anyway (but he doesn't need to know that). I told him that if I don't have a tracking number by Monday I'm returning the tank for a refund.

 Oh....and it's girlfriend....not wife...  :)

I do hope there's an 'Upside' to this last transaction;that seller doesn't need a lower score than what he already has.

 Well, this is classy.

I returned the tank and it as delivered today. EBay refunded my money and Mr. jedi_devin must not have liked that. Here's the message I got from him:

"#$%*ing pussy. #$%*s sake mate, it was $68 bucks. If you're hard for $68 bucks, I feel sorry for you."

  I replied:

 Excuse me?
Fact: you were slow to ship without communicating that.
Fact: you removed parts I paid for.
Fact: you promised to send parts and didn t.
Fact: you were given multiple opportunities to send parts or pay for replacements.
Fact: I was more than patient.

You can be a big man behind the keyboard and call me names if you want, but this is 100℅ your fault. EBAY agrees and has sided with me. I m sure they ll be interested in reading your message, too

 His witty response:

 "FACT : YOURE A #$%*ING PUSSY"

It was really hard to not engage him, but I didn't. Hope he enjoyed his stint on eBay.

Scott - he's an idiot.  He knows he screwed up but want to put the blame on you.

This was the same situation with parts that I bought and received damaged, ebay saw it my way and forced him to refund my money.

Forget about him and move forward.

About a year ago, I ordered a moderately-expensive Nolan helmet from an established eBay seller with excellent feedback. The helmet I received was the right size, right model, but wrong color. I contacted the seller, explained the problem, and requested a return shipping voucher. No response. A few days later, I tried again. Silence. After more than ten days had gone by with no communication from the seller, I contacted eBay. They requested pictures of the helmet and the package it came in, which I supplied. They said they'd contact the seller and arrange for a return.
A few days later, eBay reported that they'd not heard from the seller, and had given them a response deadline of approximately 5 days hence.
Following passage of the deadline, eBay contacted me to say they were issuing a full refund, and I need not return the helmet.
The day after the refund hit my account, I received a message from the seller: "Hello _________. We understand there may be an issue with your eBay order number XXX-XXXXX. Please explain the nature of the problem and we will investigate...blah, blah, blah." I responded with "No thanks, the issue has already been resolved to my satisfaction." That was the last I heard from them.

It's still sitting on the shelf in its box, as of now. I figure I'll have an opportunity to donate it to a good cause, or give a really good deal to a buddy who can use it one of these days.
