Battery ground cable/wire

relocating battery under tail section.  Is there any reason why I couldn't just weld a bung to the frame closer to the battery ?    Or, is there a reason that it is on one of the motor mount bolts ?   Probably overthinking things.

So long as the mount is clean of paint, you'll be OK.

You should also have a harness ground.

I like to clean all ground connections of paint and powdercoat, and use conductive grease on the connector and frame.
