Yessiree well done snagging those pipes. They are indeed an attractive option, now you'll have to start thinking about baffling! Can you give me an accurate weight on those babies please?
To answer a few questions about the exhaust, both from here and from several PM's I've received.
* They are handmade by a guy in Spain. I contacted Enrique Martinez from the Benelli Club of Spain about them, since they're used on the Benelli Quattro and that bike is a close replica of the Honda 500/550. They're also called Pasolini Replica pipes, after the Benelli factory racer.
* They are available for the 750 as well, both SOHC and DOHC.
* They are expensive, but really not much more than a set of replica stock pipes from DSS, etc.
* They are LIGHT. Mine are still wrapped in foam and bubble wrap, but taking one header and one muffler and standing on the bathroom scale, they weigh only 5.8 lbs. per pipe! We're talking less than 25 pounds for the whole exhaust system. I do not know what material they are made of.
* They ARE baffled and the baffles are removable. A quote from our correspondence: "The megaphones are homologated for a 102 dBA (a Harley is 108 dBA homologated in Spain). Full open is very VERY loud sound! around 140dBA." Obviously, I have not ran them yet.
* I placed a deposit for half back in December and paid the remainder, plus shipping costs, about two weeks ago. They were on my doorstep in less than four days after final payment. Enrique has been a JOY to deal with.
