2011 WORLD TOUR BANNER
« on: September 22, 2016, 09:01:37 AM »
Anyone who was a part of the first world tour should remember the banner that we carried along with the log book and the mascot Godzilla. I made the banner for the ride and also made an additional one. I am cleaning out stuff so that I have a little more room. I would like to see this other banner go to a good home of one of the riders of the first rally.  It is free of cost (other than actual cost of shipping) to someone that would like it.

Ray

ps: Jerry Griffin gets first dibs.....otherwise ?

Who has the original Banner? If Jerry has it, that one should go to Wilbur.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

My signature is on that first one. Technically I could have signed twice since I did 2 legs, but I think it's only there once.

**edit** it's actually in the photo, 6th from the top all the way to the right

Wilbur,
Banner is all yours. I remember I sent the original down to you but I doubt that I still have your shipping address. Send me a PM  with the info and I will get it down to you.

Jerry,
Hanging in there as best as I can...Body (knees, legs, and shoulder)doesn't like me anymore. Gives me trouble whenever they can. Still ride the 750K4 whenever I get the chance to take it to a show or ride. Been pretty hot so I have been wearing shorts and that precludes riding the bikes. Haven't gotten the 83 V65 Magna put back together yet....keep saying one of these days.  How goes it with you?

Ray, life is good. Getting older too LOL but still playing hard. Working towards retiring in a year or two. Costa Rica is a possibility. Finishing out the basement for investment. Back to the 900 and 1000 in October hopefully. Need something to ride. Just had the buddy out that you did the shot glass engraving for us. Blah blah blah  ;)

Wilbur,
Yes, I still have the sohc4 key tags. I will enclose some with the banner.
I try  not to take any drugs and just work thru the pain & discomfort.  At some point in the future,  I will probably need both knee and hip replacements. Also tore my rotator cuff twice & have a bone spur there.  Hey..... no good comes from growing old.  But then again,  no good comes from not growing old

 Jerry,
Can't wait to see a picture of the back of the original banner.  I was concerned when it got to me for my leg, that we were going to run out of space for signatures before the end of the tour. I hope that I was wrong.

I'm pleased to read my brother's and my name.

And I was pleased to meet you and Bud at Motorcycle Classics in Topeka, KS in order for you to sign it  ;) ;D Otherwise if we didn't RIDE the bikes you guys would just be more names on a computer like all the OTHER guys.

GET OUT AND RIDE SOHC4'ers!!
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Pretty wild...I dont distinctly remember signing it, but there I am in my own handwriting with my graffiti tag smiley face to boot.  I do remember the detroit meet up at the abandoned train station with the largest amount of forum members of the tour.

Ahhhh.....I see my sig. 2nd column in the middle. Looks like Sean Condon"s under mine. Can't see it but Fat Matt and Greg Ofreen's should be right there too. That's who I rode with.

Howdy Fred. Matt's and my signatures are there. Almost 5 1/2 years ago, time flies.

That was a Dream ride for me. I got to lead the Army of SOHC4's from Detroit to Hell, on my favorite roads. Team sign in at lower right.

Thanks for your efforts myhondas, and everybody else that made this happen!
