Topic: Pics from the ride

I was heading out of town to go for a ride in the mountains today and saw this guy going the opposite direction.  I made a quick U-turn and got him to pull over.  It's my bike's long lost twin sister!  Luckily I had my camera with me 'cause I knew I'd get some good pictures along the way.  We had a quick family reunion and parted ways.

The second picture is the road I took back down Lookout Mountain from Buffalo Bill's grave  , and the third is the view of Golden, CO.  If you look close, you can see the Coors brewery on the right side of the picture.

 :oYou lu-ee lu-ee bastdad!   Central Illinois suuuuuuuckkkssss!  I hope I get outta here one day.  Flat, flat, and guess what?....more flat.  And ooooh! corn and beans.  Corn and beans=buttloads of insects.  I was just thinking on the ride home tonight how much a shame it is that I put so many miles on my bike with just plain ol, straight, interstate driving.  I want my tires to be as worn on the edges as they are in the middle!  I need to go on more weekend cruises and find better twisty roads to ride on.  Hell, I noticed a couple weeks ago when I went through some steep, high speed curves, I was a bit rusty on judging my lines because of all the straight riding.  Not cool!  But seriously, looks like it was a great ride, nice pics!

WOW! Those twisty roads make me wanna switch off my computer, leave the office and head home to ride my bike. I'm gonna get a copy of those pictures with your permission.

Going to ride the 360 to grand junction this weekend and get some pics next to the pass elevation signs.  Have good one going over RMNP but you cant read the sign.

Sounds great Terry!  As soon as the road is open and most of the snow melted, I'll be going for a ride up on Trail Ridge Road.  It will be interesting to see how my bike runs at 12,000 feet above sea level, but the veiw from up there can't be beat!

Hey Metalhead,where are you at in central Illinois?I`ll be riding up to Peoria this coming week.I`m just a few hours south of you in Missouri,west of St.Louis and south of I70 is where the glaciers stopped and the twisties begin.

I would love to go on that ride with you. Gordon. I have never been on a street bike, only dirt. About how long can one expext to ride between break's? Thats personal break's, not bike problem's. LOL I can't wait to get it on the road. I'm hitting Ty's (in Longmont) on sat to pick up the part's I need to get it running. Well it is running I have started it every night after work this week.
I know my Pursang 250 looses a little power at high altitude's. I lived in Rifle in the early 80's and my bike seemed to to good on the Bookcliff's.
I know where there parting out a 77 750 pretty complete.
I just found out this week the guy down the steet has a 74 750.
I want to ride.

Very nice pic's. As soon as mine is tuned up and running roadworthy for those long trips. I can't wait.
 I'm on the road, well I need to pass my road test.
 How are the road out here compared to Oregon?

I lived in Texas my entire life until recently, so I know the feeling.  I don't know if I'll ever get used to seeing those mountains every time I look to the west!  I'll always be a Texan at heart, but don't think I'll ever regret moving here.

Another kick ass ride is independence pass but for a round trip you have to go through aspen.
