If you could build a sohc cb750 using any parts available from 69-78 what would you build? Example, my favorite rider was my Antares red 76 triple disc super sport but I'd like a fresh 77F engine in one. I'd like that setup with K0 handlebars, a Candy blue green K tank, ducktail seat and a chrome rear fender and K0 tail light.

These bikes are so versatile, I must have a few set up for different purposes....an f2 for best performing and comfort, a cafe for back road twisty fun, a stock early bike for vintage goodness, and a custom of some sort for profilin...I better get to work!

I would use 71 instruments, 77/78k front legs and tubes, morris mags, Hooker or RC 4-1, skinny stripe tank with painted light ears and bucket, and ducktail seat with lower front portion, KO taillight, shift cover unembossed, birdbath M/C cover, Weber carbs, maybe magneto, oil pressure guage, dual disc, 836 or 915 kit, RC 315 cam, Pingel petcock..
Can probably list more but dont want to sound picky...

Cool Frank, you covered a few I missed.
I had contingency certificates for Auto Meter for drag racing. I ordered three old style 0-100 psi mechanical oil pressure gauges and a digital volt meter. I'm going to make a removable mount for the voltmeter to check my bikes as I ride and I need 3 gauge adapters.

My bike is a frankenbike of '72-77 K models; If I were to want for anything it'd probably be a rear disc brake and/or the rear tail light housing that the F models had.

I'm still intrigued by the mythical 16 valve racing heads. Only heard of em from the ol timers that come thru the station and ask "that your bike out front?"
