I decided to go OEM after all this...had to get a friend in the UK to buy a pair from there and I hit buy now on another pair in the US..That was the only way to keep the $$ down..

Lets hope I can finish putting this motor back together now..

Thanks for all the input gentlemen..

I've attached a couple pics of the engine (top end mocked up) if any ones interested..

Probably can't go wrong with OEM. Hope it works out well so you can button that thing up.

As long as no bores are quite worn...... Otherwise going to be same problems..

I'm not going to disagree with you here 754....the engine has done 80,000km and the whole bike is quite tired.

This is my first bike project and I'm just trying to get it all back together the best I can within a budget. I figured after all this learning and getting familiar with the motor I could do the top end again at a later date and oversize then if I had too.

I probably should have asked/mentioned this earlier but my average Bore diameter across all three cylinders is around 58.53. measured with a bore gauge x&y at top middle and bottom of each cylinder. This is above the standard value of 58.50-58.51 but below the service limit of 58.60. With my limited knowledge I figured I may get lucky working with what I have???

Anyway I guess I'm going to find out in the near future..
