Seats again

Have a friend I sold a 11/1970 CB750 to, and he is undertaking a full-on nut and bolts resto......
Bike didnt have a seat, so whats the consensus as to the best seat ( money is no object for him, not me)  that will replicate the 1970 model....late K0 model based on the frame and engine numbers.

 I bought one of these, I haven't installed it yet but it looks good.

 I did get a K4 seat cover only from them and it didn't have the false stitching in the heat formed pattern. It's a totally different product.

 The Yamiya seat is clearly the best. I bought their red seat foam, it is awesome. I was able to reuse the original cover, trim and pan. It looks like new.

  This is the white foam seat,  I'm not sure if an 11/69 came new with a red foam or not. Mine had an incorrect seat. Red of course costs more.

I bought the entire Yamiya red foam seat for my KO back in 2008. It is high quality and you pay for it. I figured it was a one time buy...at least that is what I told the wife. :)  It is so comfortable too. If money is no object that is the best one out there. It is better than the original, but looks the same.

Can't speak for K0 but for K1, the Yamiya seat is gold... Worth every penny. High quality vinyl, looks correct, very soft comfortable foam. I have a K1 repop seat from the cheap Florida outfit (comes from overseas) and it's a decent seat but it's not nearly as nice quality as the Yamiya and the foam is more stiff and less comfortable, but still far nicer than a 40+ year old original seat with rock hard foam.

If you want the most accurate repop go with Yamiya. If you put serious miles on the bike go with Yamiya. If you want a nice presentable seat that's comfortable enough for a couple hours here and there, the Florida ebay seat is adequate. I thought the Yamiya was ridiculously priced, but again it was worth every penny to finish off my restoration.
